Essential book for all Otolaryngology residents!

This is a fantastic atlas for otolaryngology residents. The line drawings are excellent, and each chapter explains in step-by-step, practical fashion how to do a particular operation, with accompanying comments from multiple subspecialty experts. The operations range from simple (tracheotomy) to the difficult and cutting edge (transaxillary robotic-assisted thyroidectomy), and thus the book is appropriate for residents of all levels. As a senior resident, this book enhanced my understanding as I learned to do neck dissections and other head and neck cancer cases. My only disappointment about this book is that it was not available earlier in my residency. What a great idea. Many thanks to the authors who contributed!

It is very well written and it is easy to see the vast experience Dr Clayman has in this field. Perfect for ENT or general surgery residents, and a MUST for all head/neck fellows. You can't learn to perform head/neck/thyroid cancer surgery without this book and all the tips Dr Clayman gives.

'Scent' is told in the first-person perspective of Bianca 'B' Wisetail.  B is called the Last Circulator with no other Circulators born after her.  She is the cherished only child of Jessica and Hunter Wisetail; a mother who is a Circulator and a father who is a Lokoti Werewolf.   However on the night of a full moon before her 18th Birthday, a new surprising feature arises inside of B that throws the Lokoti Tribe's long history of the 'Lokoti Werewolf' upside down.
 
The world outside is recuperating after World War Three with the Lokoti Werewolves protecting the borders of the Lokoti National Park in Alaska against marauders.  Inside the tribe, the families are closed-knit where everyone knows everyone.  One of these families are the Sabre family who are the only non-Lokoti invited to live on tribal lands.  As B is best friends with Derik who is the same age as she, it's a different story with Derik's older brother Declan. 
 
Declan is a European Werewolf and an honorary member of the male dominated Lokoti Werewolf pack.  He and B grow up fighting each other just as Declan fights for the tribe's safety as he patrols the borders with the other Werewolves.  Declan's sarcastic comments and his biting one-liners are constantly aimed B's way.  However after B's change, their fiery exchange turns into something else... a forbidden love.  Declan knows because of his breed of Werewolf that his secret affection for the tribe's Last Circulator and first female Lokoti Werewolf would be frowned upon.
 
European Werewolves are classified the most dangerous breed of Werewolf in the world.  Although Declan was trained the Lokoti Werewolf way to curb his deadly hunger, prejudice still arises.   Instead of Declan placing B on a pedestal?  With his European Werewolf personality he pounced instead.  European Werewolves just love a good fight, which was exactly what Declan got when he secretly chased the tribe's only female Werewolf. 
 
From the mistrust towards his breed, Declan is forced to silently watch B's arranged marriage to another member of the pack. Although her husband is a good man, B comes to miss the chemistry she shared with her supposed worst enemy. Navigating their rocky romance, B and Declan also have to contend with human looters carrying shotguns loaded with silver bullets, the odd European Vampire, other European Werewolves who are still man-eaters and even a sensitive issue that human couples may face; a barren marriage.  With such an obstacle course that could make a new driver hug a traffic cone for comfort; B and Declan find not only passion but absolution in their bloodlust-fueled desires.

All I can say is WOW. This was even better than the first book. It takes you through all of the emotions. Would recommend this book to all of my friends.

If you want a really bad story go for it.

This entire book is all over the place and has way too much going on. Then to make it the writers have the 17 year old heroine raped by the wolf they want to convince you is her true love. The guy is hunting in wolf form changes back to human attacks and forces himself on her. After the first 4 times he gets off then Bianca decides it's okay. There was no way it wasn't rape and it was gross. Declan is a low life in every way but try to make it seem like he should really be with Bianca even while she was married to a wonderful guy who was killed. Bianca is the first female wolf of her race and the last circulator. This makes her barren, she is forced into all the decisions that are made. I kept wanting her to be the one to die. Any girl that is that whiny and that stupid is so shallow who cares what happens to her!

Wonderful supernatural love story! This book is full of grit, fun, sex & action. I didn't know werewolves could be so interesting! B's whole ancestral history is fascinating. Its a long story, but I couldn't put it down. I'm now reading Sororate & can't wait for the next in her series! Thank you K.R. Smith!

Aaron Emerson grew up as the son of a successful minister in Mason, Michigan. Blessed with a loving, caring family, he had the makings of a great life. At 14, however, his dad was unexpectedly fired from the church he helped build, right after the tragic passing of his cousin.

Aaron turned to marijuana and alcohol, finding pleasure in covering up the pain he was experiencing. A year later, he was introduced to prescription pills and eventually became addicted to oxycontin. Once oxycontin became too expensive and hard to find, he made the decision to switch to a cheaper, more potent drug: heroin.

Heroin would take Aaron through a life of hardcore addiction, lengthy jail stints, and several near-death experiences. After years of addiction that saw a once middle class teenager turn into a felon and become homeless, a journey to find recovery transpired.

That journey took Aaron to several rehabs and through many heartbreaking relapses. However, recovery from his addiction was ultimately found, and now he shares his story around the state to raise awareness and spread hope.

Throughout his addiction and recovery, Aaron jouraled and wrote about all of his experiences. He has now published his journal entries full of addiction, jail, rehab, overdose, relapse, and recovery. This book is the collection of all of those writings that shaped his life for several years.

This was a very powerful story. The fact that is all journal entries really gives you an insight of the terrible struggle an addict goes through. I read the entire book in one sitting, couldn't put it down!

I can't remember the last time I had purchased an autobiography that I enjoyed more! This book was impossible to put down, and I will never view addiction the same way again. Aaron has broken the stereotypes I imagine when encountering addicts. His writing styles is clear and communicates well the cravings, guilt, shame, desire for hope in the face of despair, and the battle to outrun addiction's grip. "Beauty for ashes and strength for tears," Aaron. Impressive that this author finds a passion, purpose and mission, having risen from the depths!

I enjoyed reading this book. It has made me open my eyes to see what can happen if someone gets addicted and has a problem. I would highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with drug use or anyone who knows someone struggling. I know personally this book has touched me and made me open my eyes. Overall this is a great book!

Discover Dalton and uncover a world of hot men with hearts of gold.

I am never sure where to start with reviews for Nicole, other than to say this book is as always a masterpiece of writing talent.

Packed from start to finish with complex relationships and life decisions which are real and make you feel for the characters. I personally laughed and cried (cried more than once) with these men. They made me want to get into my car, drive to Manchester and hug/slap/kiss them all at the same time. Ms Colville manages to bring characters to life, breathing realism into them and making you believe that could would walk into a pub and have a beer (or two) with them while you listen to their woes.

Dalton is at a crossroads in his life, marriage is on the rocks and the effects of this cause a ripple effect through his life which he is powerless to stop. As his life unravels, someone takes hold of the fraying threads ad begins to help him pull things together. What Dalton wasn’t expecting was to have these feelings for another man.

Liam is a strong character, private and fiercely and protective of those he holds close to his heart, a heart incidentally, which is as large as an ocean but an impenetrable fortress. You don’t get in unless he allows you access, and that list is minute.

Dalton catches Liam’s eye and the rest is history. He becomes his friend, but all the time they both want more but are unsure about taking the step across the imaginary line drawn in the sand between them. The attraction is hot and burns brightly, although Liam doesn’t want to rush things with the shy unsure man, afraid he will scare Dalton away.

Enter Troy, Liam’s adopted brother and the only person he has allowed into his heart. Troy is looking for love in all the wrong places, and Liam is always there to pick up the pieces as he loves him in a way that he shouldn’t considering they consider each other as brothers.

Problems arise when Dalton meets Troy and falls for him. Having gone from a marriage with his childhood sweetheart, he now is faced with confusing and new feelings for two very different men.

Can Dalton choose between them? What happens when they meet and the truth is uncovered. Ill Dalton have to choose between the two men who have captured his heart, or will Dalton Discover love he never knew possible?

Fall in love with these three men for yourself, and find out what happens. Also a huggge shout out to the character Blue,who is real breath of fresh air and is someone I cannot wait to hear more from.

Well written and good story line but I had to struggle to keep ...

Torn on this one. Well written and good story line but I had to struggle to keep reading at times. I started to wonder if they would all be getting together before the last chapter. The first 3/4 of the book was a lead in before we actually get to the point(two of them live together and dont realize what's going on? huh) After that I felt like the ending was abrupt. I would have liked the book to be at least 1/2 of the 3 of them together to see how it all worked out. We get yanked out right at the good part :(
